1) We had several new members join us for the 1st time - Wesley Griffing, John Bugert, Matt Peck, & Nathan
2) Club dues - Dues remain the same for 2019 - $25/person or $40/Family.  If you have not paid yet Don will be perging the email list very soon. 
3) BJCP Class @ MD Homebrew - Several members expressed interest in attending if there is room available.
  • First class is Sunday 3/3 @ MD Homebrew and run for 7 weeks.
  • Les White will teach all classes instead of students having to research and present a topic (though there will still be student participation)
4) Brewers Ball Cystic Fibrosis Foundation charity event on March 2nd.
  • CRABS will have 6 beers on tap. This will be the 3rd year we have poured beer at this event.
  • Tickets to the Brewer's Ball are $150 and support the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
5) CRABS Food & Beer Pairing - Sunday May 19
  • This is a family event where brewers (or significant others) team up to bring a beer and a food dish that pairs well together.
6) Homebrew Con “Brew England:  June 27-29 in Providence RI.
  • Registration opens on March 12 @ 10am.  Hotel reservations can be made now.
  • CRABS will have a presence either at our own booth or as a part of the Guild.  
7) Other Events
  • Big Brew at MD Homebrew:  Saturday May 4th
  • Homebrew Guild picnic:  June 1, Patapsco Valley State Park - Hollofield Area
  • Pints for Paws:  June 15 @ Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium.  Hosted by Annapolis Homebrew Club. CRABS had a tent last year and looking to do again this year.
  • Mashout:  August 22-25 at a new location.  Details to be posted soon
8) Competitions
  • Club Cherry Blossom (DC Homebrewers):  Registration open through March 14
  • Spirit Of Free Beer (BURP):  Registration open through March 28
  • Battle of the Bubbles (FOAM);  Registration open through April 27
  • CRABS September Hedonistic Competition:  Top 3 will have a chance to be brewed @ Checkerspot Brewing on their 20 Gallon pilot system.  Will need to be <9% ABV and have no wild funk (kettle sour ok).
