1. The annual CRABS food & beer pairing will be this Saturday October 16 from 1:00 to 6:00 at Rob Kiernan’s house (2315 Old Frederick Rd, Catonsville MD). Pair up with another CRABS member or your significant other to bring a food dish (main, side, or dessert) and a beer that pairs well with it.  We will also have a competition to select the best beer, best food, and best pairing.  Sign up on the following Google document:

2. Homebrew Extravaganza will return this year on Wednesday October 20 at Checkerspot. Pouring slots are filled but you can attend. It’s $10 for all you can drink. All proceeds go to BARCS. See the Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/events/340233371039304/?ref=newsfeed

3. An investor is looking for a brewer. Location would be north Baltimore/Harford County on 800 acres with a B&B, glass blower, and blacksmith. The brewer would own the brewery but the investor would invest in you and help with marketing, etc. If interested contact Scott Powers at 678-358-997 or scott@projectmilesllc.com

4. The Beer, Bourbon & BBQ Festival will be held on October 29-30 at the Maryland State Fairgrounds in Timonium. See https://timonium.beerandbourbon.com/ for more info.

5. The next First Thursday happy hour will be on Thursday November 4 at Sapwood Cellars.

6. The Baltimore Craft Beer Festival will take place at the Canton waterfront on Saturday November 6. More information at https://www.baltimorecraftbeerfestival.com/

7. MALT is teaming up with BADASS to hold the annual Turkey Shoot homebrew competition at Sapwood Cellars on Sunday November 21. See http://maltclub.org/MALT/Turkey_Shoot_2021.html for more information and to register.

8. There will be no Guild holiday party this year because not enough people responded positively to the survey. In lieu of that, maybe we could hold an event somewhere, perhaps at someone’s house. Please chime in if you’re interested.

10. In 2022 we will resume competitions at CRABS meetings. A survey will be sent out regarding beer styles.
