1. MASHOUT
  • Lower attendance this year due to late notice, but still a great time.
  • Net loss on the event due to lower attendance and very high insurance cost.
  • Next year will announce dates plenty early (event will probably be 3rd weekend in August).
2. Katie’s Bridge to Independence event
  • Raised $8000.
  • 26 homebrews on tap, 10 of which were from CRABS.
3. Crabs4CRABS
  • Good attendance.
  • Crabs were good, and lots of other food.
4. Guild holiday party
  • Saturday 12/3 at Arbutus Community Association, 6:00-10:00 PM (setup starts at 4:00 PM).
  • Need items for raffle and silent auction. Contact Chris at chrisanderson@mdhb.com if you need help.
  • CRABS’s chosen charity is Habitat for Humanity.

7. This month’s competition was pale/hoppy. There were 7 entries. Winners were:
  • 5th – John Jester
  • 4th – Jevon Gordon
  • 3rd – Rob Kiernan
  • 2nd – Joe O’Keefe
  • 1st (tie) – Tom Flavin
  • 1st (tie) – Ben Schwalb (what??)
8. Next meeting: Wednesday October 19. Competition will be UK beers.
